CLC Masterclass Series: Exploring Scope 3 emissions

CLC Masterclass Series: Exploring Scope 3 emissions

May’s Masterclass provided an introduction to Scope 3 emissions.

Scope 3 emissions refer to the indirect greenhouse gas emissions that are generated by an organisation’s value chain, including suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders. With Scope 3 emissions accounting for up to 90% of an organisation’s carbon footprint, it’s more important than ever for businesses to explore this area.

Adopting short-and-long-term gross absolute science aligned targets for Scope 3 emissions to help limit future warming to 1.5 degrees is also part of the Coalition’s new Statement of Ambition that signatories are working towards meeting by September 2025.

The Masterclass provided an overview of Scope 3 emissions and discussed the various tools available to support you to understand and reduce your Scope 3 emissions.

The Masterclass included presenters from our signatories thinkstep-anz, Meridian Energy, Cogo and ESP.
